Team K League will play against Atletico Madrid, a prestigious Spanish club, at Sangam World Cup Stadium on the 27th.
Leading Ulsan coach Hong Myung-bo, who established a solo system in the K League 1 this season, took the helm and Daegu coach Choi Won-kwon was appointed as the coach.
Attention is focusing on the strategic showdown between Hong, who took Ulsan to the top of the K League for the first time in 17 years last season, and Diego Simeone, a world-renowned coach who led AT Madrid to win the league twice.
The Team K League consists of a total of 22 candidates, 11 voted by fans and 11 selected by Hong.
Candidates included national team players such as Jeonbuk Cho Kyu-sung, Seoul Na Sang-ho, Ulsan Cho Hyun-woo, Suwon Lee Ki-je, Daejeon Bae Joon-ho, and Rising Star Pohang Ko Young-joon.
Ulsan players who were recently disciplined for racist controversy were not on the list.
Manchester City, which has achieved a “treble” until winning the Champions League, the Premier League, and the FA Cup, is also visiting Korea.
The match against AT Madrid at Sangam World Cup Stadium on the 30th will provide spectacular attractions to domestic soccer fans.
