South Korea’s baseball team has finalized its roster for the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, which begin on June 23.The Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) Performance Enhancement Committee and the KBO Power Enhancement Committee announced on Nov. 21 that outfielder Lee Jung-hoo (Kiwoom Heroes) and pitcher Koo Chang-mo (NC Dinos), who are both injured, have been replaced by Kim Sung-yoon (Samsung Lions) and Kim Young-gyu (NC) in the final 24-man roster .Lee was expected to be replaced early as he was rehabbing from ankle surgery in July. Koo Chang-mo, who spent the entire season rehabbing from a left arm injury, recently appeared in a second-team game but did not show his best form .The KBO will consider replacements for the remainder of the season if any of the 24 finalized players’ performances decline due to injury. The Hangzhou Asian Games baseball team, led by head coach Ryu Jung-il, will begin its first training session at the Gocheok Sky Dome on the 23rd and play a practice game on the 26th.After five days of joint training in Korea, the team will depart for Hangzhou on the 28th.
