Yoon Ha-je (23, Gimhae City Hall) and Jung Aram (24, Incheon City Hall) of the South Korean women’s weightlifting team stood side by side on the podium. They won silver and bronze medals in the women’s 87 kg category. It was their third and fourth medals in weightlifting at the Games.

Yoon Ha-je and Chung Aram lifted a total of 252 kg and 245 kg, respectively, to win silver and bronze medals in the women’s 87 kg weightlifting final at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games on Saturday at the Xiaoshan Sports Center Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China. The gold medal went to Liang Xiaomei of China.

Yun lifted 107 kilograms in the lift and 145 kilograms in the snatch. She lifted 103 kilograms, 107 kilograms, and 107 kilograms in the lift before failing on her third attempt at 109 kilograms. He went on to lift 136, 140, and 145 kilograms on the rings to win the silver medal with a total of 252 kilograms. It was a great self-congratulatory gift a day before her birthday.

Jung Aram succeeded with 102 kilograms and 106 kilograms in the vault, but failed at 109 kilograms in the third period. On the rings, she lifted 134 kilograms on her second attempt and then 139 kilograms in the final three attempts for a total of 245 kilograms.

Yoon Ha-je and Jung Aram won silver and bronze medals, respectively, to give Korean weightlifting a four-medal haul at the Games. Lee Sang-yeon totaled 317 kilograms in the men’s 67kg category and Kim Soo-hyun won bronze in the women’s 76kg with 243 kilograms.

Liang Xiaomei stood atop the podium in dominant fashion. She lifted 110 kilograms in the first phase of the lift, already surpassing the 109 kilograms that Yoon Ha-je and Jung 토토 Aram failed to lift in the third phase. She followed that up with 115 kilograms and 120 kilograms, reaching 120 kilograms in the vault alone. On the dragon board, she lifted 140kg, 148kg, and 155kg to win the gold medal with a total of 275kg.
