Construction of Peterborough’s new casino, which will replace Kawarta Downs’ Slot Fallour, is almost complete later this summer’s end. The new facility, officially named Showline Casino Peterborough, will operate in late August or September and will hold a job fair this week to fill 150 jobs.

As previously announced, about 150 employees will be moved from Kawarta Downs to a new gambling facility on Crawford Drive in The Parkway. Since it will be considerably larger than the existing slot hole, its management team decided to start looking for staff. The 50,000-square-foot building will include 500 slots, 22 game tables, two restaurants, and a 100-room hotel. In a press release, Brian Buchan Job Inc. said Thursday it would hire casino managers at Downs.

The job fair will be held at the Fleming Crew Employment Center. According to the casino, there will be both full-time and part-time jobs in game areas and restaurants. Available jobs include card dealers, table game supervisors, bartenders, servers, chefs, and souschef. The company doesn’t need prior experience with games. And the casino and two restaurants will later include staff needed at the state level near the hotel, Buchan says.

The Shoreline Casino Peterborough is managed and operated by Ontario Gaming East LP, a partnership between Great Canada Gaming Corporation and Brookfield Business Partners. The consortium was selected as a service provider for the East Gaming Bundle by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation in January. Since then, a new Shoreline slot has been under construction in Peterborough. 온라인카지노

a new hotel opening
The planned hotel adjacent to Showline Casino Peterborough will have 100 rooms, a fitness center and an indoor seawater pool. Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton is currently under construction at 1400 Crawford Drive in Peterborough. A 500-seat concert theater will also be added later. The hotel is being built by the development company Rohan Holdings.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the hotel was held at the scene. Hotel officials, city councillors and Mayor Darryl Bennett participated in the event. The hotel expected to open will address the city’s “lack of accommodation,” Mayor Darryl Bennett told reporters. No information is expected yet to be planned for the week, with development chief Jordan Struck also pointing out at the ceremony that the first crew should build and service the site before the actual construction of the building begins
