Infantino delivered a message in memory of the late coach Park Jong-hwan.

The Korea Football Association said on the 13th, “FIFA President Gianni Infantino sent an official message to the Korea Football Association on the 12th to mourn the death of the late coach Park Jong-hwan.”

“I express my deep condolences for the death of the deceased, who led the Korean national team, the U-20 national team, and the K League club and contributed to the history of Korean soccer for a long time,” Infantino said. “On behalf of soccer players around the world, I express my condolences to the bereaved families and all those who loved him.” I hope this message will be a little peace of mind and comfort for those who are saddened. His legacy will be remembered by many people,” he said.

Coach Park Jong-hwan made many achievements, including the semifinals of the 1983 World U-20 Youth Championship in Mexico, the third consecutive K-League victory (1993-1995) and the 1995 Asian Club Championship, and won the AFC Coach of the Year award in 1995.
