The Doosan Bears utilized PitchCom in their away game against the Lotte Giants at Munsu Stadium in Ulsan, South Korea on April 18.

The KBO League introduced the PitchCom on April 16. Pitchcom is a device that allows pitchers and catchers to exchange autographs.

The use of pitchcams was left up to the clubs this season. Doosan starting pitcher Kwak Bin said after one practice, “I didn’t feel any discomfort using it. I used to sign only the catcher’s sign and the mitt position, but I feel like I can concentrate better because I can hear the intuitive signs,” he said. ”The time for signing is definitely reduced, so I think using PitchCom will be very helpful when we introduce PitchClock. However, I think the catchers who are signing will need more time to adapt than me (the pitcher).”

Kim Ki-yeon also revealed that he had no problem using PitchCom, and Doosan’s first game with PitchCom came out. Kwak threw the ball up to 152 kilometers per hour, mixing in sliders (33), changeups (25), and curves (18). The tempo of his pitches was definitely faster than in the past.

Kwak gave up a two-run home run to Jeon Jun-woo in the bottom of the first inning, but he didn’t allow another run until the seventh inning. He came off the mound with a 3-2 lead. Lee Young-ha and Kim Taek-yeon pitched a scoreless inning each to help Doosan snap a three-game losing streak.

After the game,

Doosan manager Lee Seung-yeop said, “Starting pitcher Kwak Bin threw 112 pitches and showed his national ace form. His pitches were centered around a heavy fastball and featured a variety of changeups, including his main weapon, a curveball and a slider.”

Kwak said of using Pitchcom: 사설 토토사이트 “It was great. I like to have a quick tempo, but it’s nice to know the pitch before I sign it. I think it’s an advantage because it doesn’t give the batter time to think, and I liked that part.”

“At first, I couldn’t hear the pitchcom voice over the crowd noise. I turned up the volume and it worked,” he said, adding, ”When I didn’t get the sign, I shook my head or kept still.”

Catcher Kim Ki-yeon also used Pitchcom without any problems. “I didn’t feel uncomfortable using Pitchcom. It definitely reduced the time it took to sign autographs and increased the overall tempo of the game. I think it will be a big help when the pitch clock is introduced.” ”I didn’t feel any discomfort when changing signs because the sound is intuitive. However, I had to hold the button down harder than I thought to activate it. In terms of usability, there was no inconvenience. In fact, when pitch clock is introduced, I think there won’t be enough time to exchange signs two or three times,” said Kim.

Meanwhile, Kwak Bin, who shook off a poor outing against Samsung Electronics on the 12th, giving up six runs (five earned) in 3⅓ innings, said, “There were about two games this year where I didn’t complete five innings, and in the last game, I felt so sorry for the next pitcher because I left the bases loaded.” “Today, I tried to throw a lot of pitches, and it worked out well,” he said.
